This week was full of all kinds of Indian crafts!
We made canoes, laced them together and decorated them as the Indians may have.
We had fun coloring teepees and learning how the Indians used hieroglyphs for their writing system.
We learned how the Indians made jewelry and used plants to dye items of clothing and jewelry.
Finally, we made our own Indian vests and used hieroglyphics to decorate them.
This week we also learned about Pilgrims.
We worked hard on a book, illustrating how the Pilgrims came across the ocean in the Mayflower and established new homes in America.
