After visiting a real farm last week,
we decided to make our own farm!
Here we are constructing our animals.
We learned interesting facts about each animal, and then practiced our penmanship skills.
We continued to work on reading and composing CVC words.
On this paper, the students had to read two sentences and select the one describing the picture.
On this papers, the students had to look at the picture, select the beginning, middle, and ending sounds, and then write the word.
In math, we began learning about word problems and a variety of solving strategies.
We learned we can draw a picture to find the answer, use a number line, and write an equation.
After group instruction time, the students solved word problems on an individual level so I could easily assess the students' understanding of the concepts.
We also reviewed coin values!
