Last week we began our unit on money!
We had fun exploring the details on a penny, and learning its value.
We practiced counting and recording different amounts of money together (that says 4 cents).
We completed a fun project where we had to count up our money and choose what item to "purchase".
We learned the sound for the letter 't' and highlighted all the 't's we could find in our book of the week.
We also underlined our sight word 'the'. We are practicing our blending skills with the sounds, m, a, f, s, n, and t. The children are doing a great job reading their first words!
We never tire of singing and dancing together!
Every time we learn the sound of a new letter, we also learn a song highlighting that letter sound. This week's song for 't' was especially fun to dance to!
For Therrific Thursday, we conducted another science experiment.
We made our own GREEN volcano!
