Time has flown in preschool these last two weeks! Here's a run down of what we were up to the week of January 10th:
We continued learning how to read a clock - reviewing analogue and introducing digital.
Each child took turns matching times on the analogue and digital clocks.
The kids love singing songs during our transitions.
"Bubblegum" is definitely a favorite! Ask your child to sing it for you. With each verse it gets faster, and faster!
I'm now introducing sight words, along with letter sounds. Our first sight word is "the".
The children identified each "the" in their books this week, by underlining the sight word. They also highlighted every "n" sound (the letter we introduced this week).
Then we read each other our books!
